Del Rio and its sister city Acuna, directly across the Mexico-U.S. Border,
are approximately 1.5 hours of easy travel time from the ranch. Laredo
and Nuevo Laredo are approximately 2 hours. Here you can bargain for handcrafts,
clothing, jewelry, leather goods, and wonderful Christmas gifts, while
shopping at very reasonable prices.

San Antonio
Home to the Alamo and the second largest city in Texas, San Antonio is
less than an hour from the ranch. Visit Market Square, the largest Mexican
marketplace outside of Mexico, or enjoy fun and excitement along the famous
San Antonio River Walk.

Texas Hill Country
In fewer than 35 minutes one can motor into Bandera, a settlement of real
Texas Cowboys and the gateway for antiquing in the hill country. From
here take a scenic drive and enjoy beautiful Hill Country landscapes along
the way to Boerne, Fredericksburg, Kerrville or Blanco. In almost any
direction you can enjoy the views of sheer limestone cliffs, clear water
streams, oak covered hills and wildlife, set against the backdrop of clear
blue skies.
